At my old school, although you couldn't play full Multiplayer [unless someone else in the school hosted a server]. It was either this game of Battlefield 1942. This one was chosen most often, and I was not much different when I started playing it. Towards the last few days I was there, I did come back to play some Battlefield 1942, which saw not too much action. *sigh*
200...? Wow. Guess no one likes good music... Battlefield 3 is good, but it doesn't have the same...characteristics...I guess that'd be a good word. The same feeling. True, you have CPU that are probably doubled when it comes to tasks, animations, and just plain ol' looks, and the weapons are more realistic with a surprising amount of realism compared to COD. But it just doesn't have the same magic. I've not played Battlefield 4 [nor do I plan on it...I'm protesting them...so to speak. You wanna know why, you can check out my profile's latest journal entry...don't have to, but eh...], and I here although it is kind of better, the amount of bugs it first had made it look like that EA forgot to do the annual bug spray around the main facility.
COD has a bit more support, but the amount of infamous habits just make it somewhat repulsive. Quick-scopes, n00b-tubes [which aren't THAT bad...and yes, I do have a tendency ta noob-tube...], 10 year old screamers, people that think K/D ratio actually MEANS something besides the ratio of kills to deaths, people who be have to be Mr. Showoff on the kill-cam, ugh it just goes on.
Long story short, COD has fantastic Campaign, but mediocre multiplayer with a community made of little more than spit-fires [like me ]. and 12 year olds [among the very few people actually old enough to play it...]; Battlefield has good multiplayer with a community that -although has a few 12 year olds here and there- is overall a good one, with surprisingly realism [except with sniping but eh...at least no-scopes/quickscopes don't really exist], but...wait they have a campaign!?!!
Sorry...got distracted. Anyway, I do enjoy 1942. Is it on Steam or on the PC or am I gonna have to dig up some info and find someone selling one? That'd be grand if you could answer that. Thanks!
